As someone who is mixed-race, my identity and heritage have always been central to who I am. I am half Indian (West Bengal) and half White (1/4 Scottish and 1/4 Irish), and I’ve always felt a strong desire to celebrate and represent my background. This passion for embracing my ethnicity and culture is the driving force behind the creation of ENIGMA.

Our journey begins with the creation of unique football jerseys, one of which blends cultural elements from my heritage. For example, one of our debut jersey features the colours of the Indian flag (green, white, and orange) combined with traditional British patterns like argyle plaid. This fusion of styles symbolises my mixed heritage and is a perfect representation of who I am.

Mixed-race individuals often face the question, "What are you?" this question highlights the perceived ambiguity of our identities. When looking for a name that encapsulates this experience, I came across "enigma," a synonym for ambiguous. It resonated with me instantly because it represents the mystery and individuality of who we are. ENIGMA embodies the spirit of individuality, celebrating what makes each person unique.

At ENIGMA, we believe in celebrating individuality and the rich tapestry of cultural backgrounds. Each collection will feature a star item dedicated to ethnicity, showcasing a thoughtful blend of patterns, colors, and symbols associated with different cultures.

We commit to extensive research to ensure that every piece reflects the true essence of the cultures it represents. Our goal is to create styles that are not only visually appealing but also deeply meaningful and authentic.
